Experience in public and private psychiatry

Dr Shama Kanodia is a consultant psychiatrist at Belmont Private Hospital. She has more than 25 years of postgraduate experience and has worked across public and private mental health settings.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and has completed an Advanced Training Certificate in Adult Psychiatry.

Her clinical work includes adult psychiatry, perinatal mental health and women’s mental health through different life stages.

Dr Kanodia has a particular interest in how mental health can be influenced by hormonal change, reproductive experiences and the many roles women carry.
